A few words about the play: The performance “Kori m’ ki an perpatis liana…” is about the forbidden relationship between two first cousins, Giannos and Marigo/Maro. Giannos’ mother forbids, with her curse, the love of her son for the cousin.
She says that she prefers to burry him than to marry him with her. Giannos, fulfilling his desire-destiny, dies. Maro gets engaged without her own will. The wedding and the funeral meet. Maro recognizes her beloved one and follows him. They both die and in the crossroad they buried them two trees grow up and touch. They are now together forever… There is a main digre (funeral song) and lots of songs for love.
